I don’t care what anyone says, I know Jason Statham’s giant shark movie The Meg was over-the-top ridiculousness, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it!

The Screen Junkies are back with a new episode of Honest Trailers and they amusingly rip into The Meg, which the film seemed to go out of its way to earn. After all, it is a shark movie that “tows the line between good good and bad good and just bad bad.”

One of the funniest things that they point out is how the film basically tells the exact same story twice! What makes that even more funny is that the film is based on a series of six books that they had elements to pull from!

The first one of which features The Meg fighting a tyrannosaurus rex and ends with Jason Statham’s character ripping the heart of the shark out from the inside! Why didn’t we see these things in the movie!

If you’re going to make an crazy over the top shark movie, why not go all the way!
