Horror Feature EXPERIMENT 11 From the Creators of SCARE TACTICS and THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT

A new horror movie is gearing up to mess with audiences in a big way. Experiment 11, a psychological horror feature from the minds behind Scare Tactics and The Blair Witch Project, is heading into production next month in Canada.

The project comes from Kevin Healey, creator of Scare Tactics, who wrote the original screenplay and will also direct the film. The story sounds very creepy as it centers on a mysterious medical research facility where a group of participants become trapped inside an experiment that spirals completely out of control, with consequences connected to the future of humanity itself.

Healey is producing alongside executive producers Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale, the creators and producers behind The Blair Witch Project, the genre-changing horror phenomenon that helped redefine found footage horror for an entire generation.

Healey shared his excitement about the project in a statement, saying: “I’ve spent much of my career exploring the intersection of horror, realism, and social experimentation, so Experiment 11 feels like the culmination of everything I love creatively.”

He continued: “To now be collaborating with Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale — whose work on The Blair Witch Project fundamentally changed immersive horror for an entire generation — is surreal for me personally,”

And if you’re wondering just how intense this movie plans to get, Healey offered one more tease: “This film is ambitious, experimental, psychologically intense, and designed to blur the line between cinematic storytelling and reality in a way audiences haven’t experienced before.”

That’s a pretty killer pitch for horror fans who love unsettling, immersive stories that play with perception and paranoia. Between Healey’s background in reality-based scares and the involvement of the Blair Witch team, Experiment 11 already feels like one of those projects horror fans are going to keep a close eye on as production ramps up.
