Hot Toys Reveales Cool New SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Collectible Figure
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day getting closer to its theatrical debut, Hot Toys has revealed the first collectible from the movie. Fans have been eager to see how Peter Parker's latest costume would translate into a sixth scale figure, and this preview doesn't disappoint.
The figure offers a spectacular look at the new Spider-Man suit. They are releasing a regular and a deluxe version. The regular one includes some swap out eye lenses, interchangeable hands, a key, a phone, and webbing. The deluxe version adds a vest, a knit hat, and a deluxe display base.
The newly revealed Spider-Man Sixth Scale Figure puts the spotlight on Peter Parker's fresh costume, showcasing the incredible level of detail Hot Toys is known for. From the textures and web pattern to the sharp color scheme, it already looks like it'll be another must-have for Marvel collectors.
One detail that's getting plenty of attention is what appears to be the deluxe edition display base. Based on the preview images, it looks like collectors may get a massive Scorpion tail as part of the display, adding even more fuel to speculation that Scorpion will have a major presence in the film.
Hot Toys hasn't shared any additional details just yet, but the complete reveal shouldn't be too far away. There's a chance it could arrive as soon as tomorrow, though waiting until next Monday would also make sense.
Spider-Man was always going to be the first figure announced, but the bigger question is what comes next. A Hulk figure seems like an obvious possibility, especially given the character's expected role in the movie. After that, things become much less predictable.
Scorpion feels like the safest bet among the confirmed villains, although Boomerang and Tarantula could easily receive figures later if they end up having memorable appearances. I’m sure we’ll see one for Punisher as well.
Then there's the mystery surrounding Sadie Sink's character. Because Marvel has kept her role under wraps, any collectible based on her would probably stay hidden until well after the movie's release to avoid spoilers.
