How Many Lens Flares Are There in J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK Movies? - Video

We all know that director J.J. Abrams loved using the lens flare effect in his Star Trek movies. I never had an issue with the flares. In fact, I really like what it did for the new movies. It seemed to work. YouTuber user Dylan Browne took it upon himself to create a video for each of the director's Star Trek films and count how many lens flares were used. The videos show every single lens flare in the movie. The creator of the video says,

"This video in no way means I hate lens flares, in fact I love JJ Abrams use of flares in all of his films, he is one of my fav directors!"

There are 721 lens flares in the Star Trek and 826 lens flares in Star Trek Into Darkness. I wonder if director Justin Lin will continue the use the lens flare effect in Star Trek 3.

EDIT: Should I do other movies? :P I created this for some fun, I also underestimated how many flares there actually are haha, took me a long few hours to crag all the footage ... pretty much a third of the movie is lens flares when i had the footage together :), Disclaimer: This does not mean i don't like lens flares...
