Hugh Grant Joins Guy Ritchie's Spy Thriller FIVE EYES
Hugh Grant (The Gentleman) is in talks to reteam with director Guy Ritchie for his upcoming spy thriller Five Eyes. If cast he will join Jason Statham, Cary Elwes, Josh Hartnet, and Aubrey Plaza in the film.
Five Eyes is a spy thriller that follows “MI6 guns-and-steel agent (Statham) who is recruited by global intelligence alliance ‘Five Eyes’ to track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order. Reluctantly paired with CIA high-tech expert, Fortune sets off on a globe-trotting mission where he will have to use all of his charm, ingenuity and stealth to track down and infiltrate billionaire arms broker.”
I enjoy the characters that Ritchie creates for his original films and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of characters he’s created for Five Eyes that these actors will be playing.
Ivan Atkinson wrote Five Eyes with Marn Davies (The Gentlemen), and the film is set to start shooting in February in Turkey.
