Hugh Grant Looking to Star in Mormon Missionary Horror Film HERETIC From A QUIET PLACE Writers

Hugh Grant has jumped on board a new horror film project set up at A24 titled Heretic, and it will be directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who wrote A Quiet Place. Hugh Grant doesn’t really do horror films, so this is definitely a different kind of genre for him to play around in.

The movie is said to follow two Mormon sister missionaries “who attempt to convert a man that turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated.” I imagine that Grant will be taking on the role of the eccentric man if he ends up being officially cast.

Chloe East, who appeared in Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, is also in talks to join the movie, and she could end up being cast as one of the Sister missionaries.

Grant most recently appeared in the Paramount/eOne fantasy adventure film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves which ended up being a great movie, and Grant delivered a fun performance in that.

Beck and Woods also executive produced and helped write the recently released adaptation of Stephen King’s The Boogeyman.
