Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart on Saying Goodbye to Wolverine in LOGAN

It's still crazy to think that Logan will be the last time that we see Hugh Jackman take on the role of Wolverine. He made the character iconic, and it's going to be the end of an era. The guy has been playing Wolverine for 17 freakin' years! That's a long time to be playing a character, and Jackman is ready to say goodbye, but not before he gives his best performance yet.

Everything I've seen from this film so far shows me that Jackman didn't hold anything back for this role. He made sure to end his run as Wolverine in the strongest way possible. During a recent interview on Entertainment Tonight, he made it very clear that he put everything he had into the role to give his best performance possible.

"There is not a frame of this film where I can't say I didn't put everything into it. I couldn't have made this film if I didn't make the decision within myself that this was the last one. I just didn't compromise on anything. I was a pain to a lot of people, because I don't get another shot at this. This is a character I love. I owe my career to this character."

Patrick Stewart shares the film with Jackman as he reprises his role of Charles Xavier, and he goes on to reflect on the evolution of the actor's role as Wolverine over the years and praised his performance:

"His charm and modesty and likability has never changed. What has changed is the actor. His work throughout the franchise is compelling and powerful and witty and very entertaining, and I believe what he does in Logan is quite extraordinary. The aging, the sadness, the weariness, the borderline despair he exhibits coupled with that edge that has always been there is quite remarkable."

It would be so cool to see Jackman get an Oscar nomination for his performance in Logan. I think it could actually happen! Seriously, it looks like he gives an amazing performance in this movie! Logan is set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
