Hugh Jackman Is Up For Playing Another Superhero! So, Who Should He Play?

Even though we won’t see Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Wolverine again, it doesn’t mean he’s not interested in playing another superhero.

While talking to MTV, the actor was asked if he would be up for playing another comic book character at some point in his career, and it’s certainly something that he’s open to! He siad:

"Oh yeah, I'd be open to that, Yeah, for sure. I mean... for me I never saw it as a superhero, even when I got Logan and I didn't know much about the X-Men series or comic book series, I was like 'these are great characters.' All of these people are flawed characters. Sure they have extraordinary abilities, right, but they are all really flawed, and that's what the movie's about. That's why people relate to it."

Jackman goes on to say that he thinks the comic book film genre is getting better and better with every movie, and shares his thoughts on why he thinks that is. He explains that it’s pretty much everything that makes the characters relatable and not their superhero exteriors:

"There's a wish fulfillment of 'I wish I had claws,' but ultimately I'm like yeah, I know what it's like to be marginalized. I know what it's like not to be taken seriously or misunderstood. If only I had the bloody claws, so I see why they're being so successful, and I've kind of been blown away. It certainly exceeded every expectation. They are getting better, better, and better."

There are a ton of character options for Jackman to choose from the Marvel Universe, the DC universe, and several of the other comic book universes that exist. The question is, after awesomely playing a character like Wolverine for so long, what superhero character could you see Jackman playing next?
