Hugh Jackman Reveals The Scene That Made Him Cry In LOGAN
Hugh Jackman may be tough as Logan on the big screen, but in real life, he's just a big ol' softy. THR reports the actor recently shared that he cried while reading a scene for the film, as well as when he saw it in theaters. Spoilers, by the way, so no turning back if you choose to read it.
Jackman says he got misty eyed when X-23 returned to Logan's grave and turned his cross into an "X", signifying the X-Men symbol...
"When I read it, I thought 'that's beautiful.' It seemed very poetic on the page. And when I saw it, I cried. I sat next to Patrick Stewart. We saw it for the first time, and both of us wept. There's something so patient and courageous in a filmmaker to allow everything to culminate in that one moment."
I won't deny it was a great moment, but I'm wary of praising James Mangold anymore as he's been a runaway train of "I revolutionized hero films" statements ever since the film released. Good to know Jackman was satisfied with the ending!
