Hugh Jackman Unsure About Playing WOLVERINE in Sequel

I thought for sure that Hugh Jackman would want to reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming sequel currently being developed by James Mangold. It seems like the actor is having some doubts about returning as the character, though. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair Jackman admits that he's on the fence about doing it.

"I don’t know whether or not I will do this next movie. I am really proud of (The Wolverine) and I am excited to develop something with Jim Mangold from the beginning because that is a great ride. That’s exciting, to see what we come up with but I have a very high expectation of what it would need to be [for me to star in it] and if it doesn’t reach those, I won’t be doing it."

I bet he'll end up doing it. I think he'll also end up doing the recently announced X-Men: Apocalypse, which Bryan Singer is developing.

Jackman is not committed to do any of these films, he's just taking one film at a time. It will be pretty crazy if he actually ended up passing on these films. You have to remember though... Jackman wasn't interested in being involved with X-Men: Days of Future Past either, and now he's the main star of that film.

There's always that chance. If he does pass on them, I wonder who would replace him, because someone will have to. Who do you think could be a good replacement?
