Hulu Developing Alt-History Series RODHAM, in Which Hillary Clinton Never Married Bill, Based on Novel

Hulu has won the series rights to the recent novel Rodham, written by Curtis Sittenfeld. The alternative history novel tells the story of what may have happened to Hillary Rodham if she had never married former president Bill Clinton.

The series is described as telling the story of an ambitious young woman, developing her extraordinary mind in the latter part of the 20th century, moving from idealism to cynicism and all the way back again.

The Affair creator Sarah Treem, who also wrote on the series In Treatment, as well as House of Cards, has signed on to write and executive produce the series. This comes on the tails of the real-life four-part docuseries Hillary that Hulu aired back in March. “That series chronicled her 2016 presidential campaign while also delving into events from her past that shaped her life.”

This sounds like it could be an interesting look back at the inner-workings of politics back in the 80s and 90s when Rodham and Clinton would have first been coming into politics. It was a difficult time for women to break into any business controlled by men, especially the world of politics.

Does this sound like a series you may be interested in?
