Hulu Orders DOLLFACE Series from Kat Dennings
Kat Dennings has teamed up with Jordan Weiss and Ira Ungerleider to work on Dollface and Hulu has just put in a 10-episode order. Dennings will star in the series, Weiss is credited as writer-creator, and Ungerleider is the showrunner. All three will also executive produce the comedy alongside Margot Robbie and her LuckyChap banner.
Dollface, which will begin production in 2019, “follows a young woman (Dennings) who, after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend, must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.”
Tom Ackerley and Brett Hedblom are also going to executive produce under LuckyChap, Scott Morgan and Bryan Unkeless will executive produce from Clubhouse Pictures, and Nicole King and Stephanie Laing will also executive produce.
The pilot’s director will be Matt Spicer who will also executive produce.
