Hulu Renews THE GREAT Starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult for a Second Season
Hulu has announced that they have renewed their original series The Great for a second season. The satirical comedy, which debuted on May 15th, “tells the story of the rise of Catherine the Great from outsider to the longest-reigning female ruler in Russia’s history,” while giving its own spin, with little regard to fact.
The series stars Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, as well as Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Sebastian de Souza, Bayo Gbadamosi and Belinda Bromilow.The series was created, written, and executive-produced by Tony McNamara (The Favourite).
Hulu says the series is “one of the top performing original comedies” on the service, so it makes sense that it gets the reorder. I haven’t checked it out yet, but maybe I will get around to it this summer. Have you seen the series? Are you interested in a second season?
