Hulu's THE PATH Canceled After Three Seasons
Hulu has cleaned house, and it's series The Path has not made the cut. The series was about a family in a religious cult-movement, that some have compared to a hippy commune/Scientology sect.
We followed the characters through crises of their faith, disruption of their relationships, legal and moral battles, and crazy life-changing moments. We just started watching this year, so we weren't caught up yet, but we had really enjoyed what we watched. Creator Jessica Goldberg had this to say in a statement:
"While it's sad that The Path is ending, I'm brimming with gratitude and pride. It was a gift to be able to tell challenging and emotional stories for three seasons in this very strange and unique world. The caliber of talent and passion everyone who worked on this show brought — from my partners Jason Katims and Michelle Lee, the execs at Hulu, the writers, actors, directors, designers and crew — was something to behold, and for which I'm very thankful. Thanks Hulu and Universal Television for taking a shot on this show, it was a life-changing experience."
Apparently, the series ended on a cliffhanger! I hate it when shows do that. I wish that they'd at least wrap things up for the fans out there who had gotten invested. Super bummer, but I will remember this show as being great while it lasted, and as some of the greatest performances from its actors. The show starred Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, and Hugh Dancy.
Did you watch The Path and are you bummed out that it was canceled?
