Humanity Faces the Dark Side of the Moon in Trailer for Roland Emmerich's MOONFALL
Get ready and buckle up! Roland Emmerich has made another movie that showcases the destruction of the world! The movie is titled Moonfall, and Lionsgate has released a full trailer for the film that gives us our best look yet at what’s in store for the sci-fi disaster thriller.
Not only is the moon on a collision course with Earth in the story, there’s a deadly secret and force that was found on the Moon that has been unleashed is is wreaking havoc! No one is safe! But don’t worry, Patrick Wilson, Halle Berry, and John Bradley are on the job, and they travel to the cent of the Moon to save the day.
In Moonfall, we see the moon on a crash course with Earth. It’s explained that “a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it.” In the story “with mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (Bradley) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.”
As I’ve said before, this is complete and utter blockbuster movie nonsense, but it’s the kind of movie escapism that people might want to see and enjoy right now. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
