Humans Are Hunted Down Like Wild Game in First Teaser Trailer For Damon Lindelof's THE HUNT
Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for their upcoming survival thriller called The Hunt. The film is described as a mysterious social thriller and the story centers around twelve strangers who wake up in a clearing not knowing where they are or how they got there. What they don’t know is that they have been chosen to be hunted down and killed like wild game.
The movie actually looks like a lot of fun. It come from writer Damon Lindelof (LOST, The Leftover, Watchmen) and director Craig Zobel (Z for Zachariah, The Leftovers). The Hunt was produced by Blumhouse Pictures and this is the synopsis that was released:
In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a group of globalist elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (two-time Oscar® winner Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.
The Hunt is set to hit theaters on September 27th and also stars Ike Barinholtz and Emma Roberts. Check out the trailer below and hit us up with your thoughts! I actually saw a full trailer for the film in theaters when I saw Crawl. This is more of a teaser.
