I Just Saw The First Footage of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and it Left Me Shaking With Excitement
After almost the entire cast of Avengers: Infinity War was brought out on stage at D23 Expo, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige showed off the first footage ever of the highly anticipated Marvel film and I can't even begin to wrap my brain around what I had just watched. As I'm writing this, I'm completely overwhelmed with emotion. My body is actually shaking with excitement!
The footage started out with a recap of clips of what we've seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. That led into a scene featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy flying through space (Teenage Groot included) when Thor, who is floating through space, smashes into their windshield. That's followed by Rocket Raccoon yelling, "Get it off! Get it off!"
They Bring Thor onto the ship where Mantis proceeds to wake him up and Thor's his response is like "who the hell are you people!?" We then see the Guardians ship travel through a cosmos wormhole and what they find on the other side isn't good. Thor says, "something's not right."
After that, we go into a series of shots showing off complete havoc and destruction. We see Scarlet Witch as she dodges something and smashes breaks a truck. There's a shot of Loki standing in some demolished landscape and he's holding the Tesseract up to someone, like he's offering it as a gift.
We see Peter Parker riding on a bus when spider-=sense starts tingling. The spider-sense is shown in the form of the hairs on his arm standing up. Then there's a shot of Tony Stark preparing for battle. Oh yeah, and he's in space with the Guardians!
Then we hear Thanos say, "Fun really isn't something one considers when balancing the universe. This does put a smile on my face." As the Guardians are standing around a place of destruction, we see Thanos make his epic appearance as he warps into this new world where they are. Star-Lord has a concerned look and races into battle against him, we then see Doctor Strange battle him, and even Spider-Man goes up against him in the new Spider-Man suit that Tony offered him at the end of Homecoming. We actually see a decent amount of footage of Spider-Man in action and he's having a rough time. At one point we see him beaten and laying on the ground as he apologizes to Tony.
There's also footage of Winter Soldier fighting, the Hulkbuster is back in action as he rushes into the fight. We see Thor's head being squeezed in the hand of Thanos, and it looks like it hurts like hell! We see a bearded Captain America called into battle, but we don't see him fight. He just steps out of the shadows. Will he be the one to save the day?
In the end, Thanos beats Iron Man and the Guardians have been defeated. Thanos walks away with his gauntlet filled with the Infinity Stones. He raises the gauntlet to the orange sky and forms an energy hole in space and throws it down on the world he's on in the form of huge fireballs. This brings an end to the footage. Thanos brings the pain.
It's as EPIC as EPIC can get! I'm pretty confident that they will show this same footage at Comic-Con next week. So, if you're going to be there, prepare yourselves for something amazing. No joke... nothing can really prepare you for what this film is going to bring. I knew we'd see footage from the movie at D23, but I wasn't expecting this.
Avengers: Infinity War is going to be the most epic superhero film ever made.
