I Saw the First Full Trailer for JASON BOURNE and It’s Badass!
If you are a fan of the Bourne franchise, you are going to be extremely happy with what Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon have done with the next installment in the franchise, Jason Bourne. At CinemaCon Universal Pictures premiered the first trailer for the film, and it was awesome!
Producer Frank Marshall came up to introduce the trailer and talk about the film saying, "We found a great new story that is contemporary," and also claims that this film features "the best Bourne chase ever.” That chase scene takes place on the Las Vegas strip, and we actually got a good taste of that in the trailer. It looks freakin' insane.
The trailer opens with Jason Bourne laying in a bed and we hear a voiceover of him saying "I know who I am.” We then get a series of flashbacks featuring clips from the previous Bourne films. We then see Bourne standing on a street with Nicky (Julia Stiles) who finds him. He tells her, ”I remember everything,” and she goes on to tell him that that he doesn’t know everything. It’s at this point that the agency finds him with their facial recognition technology. After realizing he’s been tracked, he escapes by blending into demonstrations taking place in front of the Greek parliament building. This is then followed by some extremely intense and badass action sequences as Bourne is being hunted down. The people behind the hunt are Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) and an agent played by Alicia Vikander. We see Bourne falling from a roof, using a man as a human shield. Dewey finds him and tells him people are safer because of what he did, having killed 31 people. Then it cuts to the chase on the Las Vegas strip, and it looks epic. This might just be one of the best car chases ever put on film. We only got a little glimpse of it, but it sure did wow the crowd. The trailer ends with Bourne in a fighting ring in the desert where he completely lays out a bigger man than him with one punch.
I have no idea when the trailer is going to be released, but I can’t wait for you to see it. This could be the best Bourne film yet! It’s set to be released on July 29, 2016. If you want to check out the brief Super Bowl spot that was released earlier last yet, click here.
