IDW is Using Kickstarter to Fund Two More TMNT Games
If you enjoyed IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past, or are simply looking for a TMNT themed board game, Kickstarter may be your next stop on the Internet. IDW has launched a new Kickstarter for two follow-up games to Shadows of the Past. Change is Constant and City Fall are standalone expansions for Shadows of the Past, meaning that you can use them with Shadows of the Past, or without it. The gameplay is still a 1v4 competitive game, or you can now try a cooperative version that has built-in mechanics control the bad guys.
In addition to these two new games, there will be additional boxes that look like they are expansions for these new games. The boxes bring in new characters (like Miyamoto Usagi) for you to use as well as a couple of other goodies.
While this game looks fantastic, I do have a major problem with it. Each of the standalone expansions costs $125. That’s a big investment. It must be worth it though since as of writing, the Kickstarter has earned 120% of its $200,000 goal. At least with the $125 you get one of the games, an expansion box, and a unique miniature.
