If You're a Fan of The 1990 Adaptation of IT, Here's a Fun Extended Trailer For The Doc PENNYWISE: THE STORY OF IT
Like many of you, I grew up with the 1990 TV adaptation of Stephen King's IT in my life. I loved that two-part movie and it scared the shit out of a whole generation of kids! Well, there’s a documentary coming that dives into the making of that adaptation called Pennywise: The Story of IT and it looks like it will be filled with all kinds of fun stories about the making of the film.
The doc will include 50 interviews with the cast and crew of the film along with over 700 never-before-seen photos from the production and of course there will be rare footage and photos from the set. Some of the people that were interviewed include Tim Curry, Seth Green, Richard Thomas, Emily Perkins, Bart Mixon, and a lot more. It’s kinda cool seeing all these actors talking about the film all these years later.
The documentary "will explore the legacy of the show as well as the cultural impact that Pennywise has had on a generation of fans. With hours of never-before-seen behind the scenes footage and exclusive photos ‘Pennywise’ will be the ultimate celebration of this much loved classic and will also be a lasting tribute to the remarkable work of one of cinema’s greatest character actors Mr. Tim Curry."
The doc was directed by Christopher Griffiths, who says he is looking to "tell a story heard by few and showcase a wealth of behind-the-scenes footage and photos seen by even fewer."
There’s no word on when exactly Pennywise: The Story of IT will be released, but it should come out at some point this year.
