Imagination-Fueled New Trailer for Glen Keane's Animated Film OVER THE MOON
Netflix has released an adventure-filled new trailer for its upcoming animated film Over the Moon. The film comes from legendary animation legend Glen Keane (Dear Basketball, Duet, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast) and his co-director John Kahrs (Paperman). Over the Moon looks like it’ll be a beautifully made film that tells an inspiring, imaginative story.
The story follows a girl who builds a rocket to travel to the moon in hopes of meeting the legendary Moon Goddess that she was told about when she was a little kid. Here’s the full synopsis:
Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. There she ends up on an unexpected quest, and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical creatures. Over the Moon is an exhilarating musical adventure about moving forward, embracing the unexpected, and the power of imagination.
The film was made in partnership with Pearl Studio in Shanghai, and it will feature music by Christopher Curtis, Marjorie Duffield, and Helen Park (KPOP); with a score by Oscar-winning composer Steven Price.
The voice cast includes Cathy Ang, Phillipa Soo, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Sandra Oh, Robert G. Chiu, Margaret Cho, and Kimiko Glenn.
Netflix will release Keane's Over the Moon streaming exclusively sometime in fall 2020. Enjoy the new trailer!
