IMPRACTICAL JOKERS Renewed for Season 13 at TBS as Ratings Continue to Rise

The comedy reality series Impractical Jokers has been given a Season 13 renewal, as it winds down its 12th season on a ratings high at TBS. The show returned for the second half of its 12th season in January to skyrocketing numbers, a rare situation this late in the show’s run on cable.

Impractical Jokers will wrap Season 12 with two final episodes, on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, following NCAA March Madness games on TBS. Season 12b, which premiered on January 15, consisted of nine episodes and two specials.

“Fifteen years into its run, Impractical Jokers is breaking records and delivering some of the best ratings in its history,” said Jason Sarlanis, President, TNT, TBS, truTV, ID & HLN, linear and streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery.

“Our fans absolutely love the humor and friendship of the Jokers, which keeps them coming back for more. We can’t wait to share even more laughs and unforgettable moments with them.”

Comedians Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray and Sal Vulcano are the stars of Impractical Jokers, which “follows the lifelong friends as they compete in a series of outrageous hidden-camera challenges designed to embarrass each other in public. At the end of every episode, the challenge’s loser must endure a punishment of epic proportions.”

I was a diehard fan of the show, but when it changed channels, lost one of its members for inappropriate behavior and accusations on set, and some of the material started to feel stale, I dropped off.

Knowing it’s doing so well makes me want to return as a viewer, hoping they’ve hit their stride again, as the early episodes were some of the funniest TV I’ve ever watched.

I’ll be tuning back in, and I’m glad to hear they are getting a new season.
