IMPRACTICAL JOKERS Renewed For Season 8 and There Will Be a Feature Film
I'll admit... I'm one of those people that enjoys watching that stupid show on truTV Impractical Jokers. It always makes me laugh, and I enjoy laughing, so why wouldn't I watch it!? For those of you who enjoy watching the show as well, you'll be happy to hear that the series has been renewed for Season 8 and it has also been announced that there is a feature film in the works!
The movie is being produced by Funny or Die and it will be directed by Chris Henchy. It goes into production this spring and it will "tell the story of a humiliating high school mishap from 1992 that sends the Impractical Jokers on the road competing in hidden camera challenges for the chance to turn back the clock and redeem three of the four."
James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano, who are also known as The Tenderloins, will all return for the 26-episode eighth season. Chris Linn, president of truTV had this to say in a statement:
“The Jokers’ authentic friendship and genuine relatability has endeared them to millions of fans around the world, creating one of the most original brands in all of television. We’re incredibly proud of the partnership we’ve developed with the guys throughout the years, and the growing, multiplatform success of the Impractical Jokers brand.”
What do you think of Impractical Jokers? Do you enjoy watching the series? Does it annoy the hell out of you? What do you think about the fact that it's getting a movie? I'll definitely be watching it! I just like the ridiculousness of the whole thing as these guys put each other through hell.
