Incube8 Games Launches Cartridge-Only Imprint to Bring New Games to Retro Handhelds

Incube8 Games is all about publishing games on retro consoles like the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Recently, the publisher announced their new imprint called Incube8 Games Lite (IGL) which will publish cartridge-only physical releases of games. A game you purchase through IGL will only have a cartridge with the game saving on cost and time for you. No box. No insert. Nothing else is included. The PCBs used come from Inside Gadget and sounds great for people wanting to breathe new life into their favorite retro handheld.

In celebration of the launch of IGL, Gunship from 7FH will be released physically for the Game Boy in addition to a digital release. The physical edition costs $25.99 while the digital ROM is only $4.99. You can also play at least part of Gunship over on Itch.io, but I’m sure it’s not the same experience.
