INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 Has a New Writer
The brave new candidate to rewrite the script for the sequel to Independence Day is one Carter Blanchard.
Not much is known about Blanchard’s writing, but he is currently working on a few projects that are in development. He wrote the screenplay for Spyhunter and is working on the film adaptation of Mark Millar’s Kindergarten Heroes.
Roland Emmerich is still directing ID Forever Parts 1&2. Are we still calling the sequels to Independence Day this or not? All I know is, without Will Smith’s involvement, I am not sure how successful the sequels will be. Maybe Blanchard has the skills to keep the next two installments of the Independence Day franchise from falling in the movie gutter.
