INDIANA JONES 5 Has Been Delayed
Just yesterday we learned that Solo co-writer Jonathan Kasdan would be working on the script for Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones 5. Now, Variety is reporting that the movie has been delayed and it won't make the previously set July 10th, 2020 release date.
Filming was supposed to begin in April of 2019 in the UK, but sources close to the production say that "shooting will no longer start next spring and will have to be pushed back by months, if not a year. Potential crew members have already been informed of the delay."
In case you're wondering why the film is being delayed, the report says, "part of the issue is that the key members of the creative team have yet to sign off on a finished script." They go on to say that Kasdan's deal to work on the script still hasn't closed.
Insiders stress that both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford remain committed to the film project. I guess we might just have to wait until 2021 before we see the next Indiana Jones film. We've waited this long, I guess another year won't hurt.
