INDIANA JONES 5 Is Set to Start Shooting in the UK Next Week!
Indiana Jones 5 is actually happening! After years of talk, development, and preparation, Lucasfilm will start shooting the film in the UK next week! The project will shoot at Pinewood and other locations in the UK.
The film is being helmed by Logan director James Mangold, who took over the directing reins from Steven Spielberg, who still is serving as a producer and is still involved in various elements of the film.
Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Indiana Jones one final time, and he’s joined by Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Shaunette Renée Wilson (The Resident), and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age Of Ultron).
Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel are also producing and John Williams is returning as the film’s composer.
I wish we had some story details to share, but we don’t know what kind of adventure Jones will find himself on in this final film. There are rumors that the film could tell a 1960s space race story, but then local reports in the UK also point that the film will shoot at Bamburgh castle. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Indiana Jones 5 is set to be released on July 29, 2022.
