INDIANA JONES 5 Producer Says the Movie Is Everything Everybody Wants Out of an Indiana Jones Movie
Indiana Jones 5 producer Frank Marshall is hyping up the next chapter of the archeological adventure franchise that will see Harrison Ford embark on one final journey as the iconic character.
I’ve been very curious about the story that this next film will tell and the crazy adventure that Jones will find himself on. During a recent interview with A.frame, Marshall teased, "It's a great story, it's a great character, and I think you're going to be very happy with this movie. It's everything I think that everybody wants out of an Indiana Jones movie."
I like what I hear! While there are no official details that have been shared in regards to the story, there are bits and pieces that have been spotted and pieced together. The film is reportedly set in the ‘60s during the space race, which has seemingly been confirmed by set photos that have surfaced. Those photos show a big ticker-tape parade featuring red, white, and blue prop signs that read “Welcome Back to Earth” and “Welcome Back Astronauts.”
The movie has also filmed scenes at the "haunted" Bamburgh Castle, which has people speculating that this movie will include a scrapped Last Crusade storyline that saw Indiana Jones battling a ghost while on vacation. You can read more about that here.
James Mangold is directing Indiana Jones 5 with Steven Spielberg producing. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson.
Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit the big screen on June 30th, 2023.
