Spider-Man is one of Stan Lee's best and most enduring characters, and his popularity with the general public is still off the charts. Despite the fact that we've seen five Spider-Man films in the past fifteen years, including an unnecessary reboot of the character's origin story, people are still clamoring to know more about the character's upcoming appearance in Captain America: Civil War. Against all odds, Spidey continues to thrive in the zeitgeist.
PureCostumes has put together an infographic of the strangest alternate versions of Spider-Man that have appeared in the comics, and since I grew up watching the animated show and not reading the comics regularly, a few of these were new to me.
