The Breach is based on the novel by Nick Cutter and it tells the story of “John Hawkins (Allan Hawco), counting down his last days as Chief of Police in the tiny town of Lone Crow nestled deep in the desolate woods of Northern Ontario. When a mangled body with uncanny wounds washes up on the shores of the Porcupine River, he is pulled into a horrific supernatural mystery that defies comprehension.”
As the trailer plays out, it starts to escalate into madness, and the last few clips in the trailer are what really grabs your attention with some awesomely grotesque visuals. It looks like a freaky fun movie!
The movie comes from the founder of Rue Morgue Magazine, Rodrigo Gudiño, and this is the second feature film he’s directed. The film also features music by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, who's also an executive producer. It also stars Emily Alatalo, Natalie Brown, Mary Antonini, Wesley French, Adam Kenneth Wilson, with a special cameo from Alex Lifeson, the lead guitarist of Rush.
The Breach will get a direct-to-VOD release on July 11th, 2023.
