Insane Trailer For The Stop-Motion Sci-Fi Horror Film MAD GOD From VFX and Creature Designer Phil Tippett

I’ve got a gnarly trailer here for you to watch for a crazy-looking stop-motion animated film titled Mad God. This project comes from special effects / VFX / creature designer Phil Tippett, and as you’ll see, the sci-fi horror movie is going to be filled with mayhem.

Tippett created the film over the course of 30 years. This is a passion project that he’s been dedicated to and he was able to complete it thanks to the help of crowdfunding. The movie is finished and this is the first trailer that has been released. Just wait until you watch the trailer, it’s hard to describe what exactly this movie is, but the visual presentation is pretty damn wild.

Here’s the synopsis:

Mad God is an experimental animated film set in a world of monsters, mad scientists and war pigs. A corroded diving bell descends amidst a ruined city and the Assassin emerges to explore a labyrinth of bizarre landscapes inhabited by freakish denizens. This unique labour of love combines many innovative animation techniques and has taken Phil Tippett 30 years to complete.

The movie stars Alex Cox, Niketa Roman, Satish Ratakonda, Harper Taylor, and Brynn Taylor. The completed film will premiere at the 2021 Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.
