INSIDIOUS Star Lin Shaye Set To Star in The Series Action-Thriller ELLEN

Insidious franchise star Lin Shaye is set to star in and executive-produce a new TV series action-thriller titled Ellen. The project is set up at New Regency and QCode and it sounds like this could be a different kind of role for Shaye.

The story centers on a “nefarious land developer who gets more than he bargained for when he tries to intimidate an 80-year-old widow into abandoning her Montana ranch.” It sounds like Shaye is going to get violent with this guy.

The series will consist of six episodes and it’s based on an original concept from Jalmari Helander (Big Game). Ellen will be directed and executive-produced by filmmaker duo Clif Prowse and Derek Lee (Afflicted). Executive producers include Ben Pugh and Charlie Morrison (42), Petri Jokirantaa and Jalmari Helander (co-executive producers), Josh Horsfield, Automatik, Oddfellows, and New Regency.

I like Lin Shaye and this sounds like it’ll be a great project for her to be a part of. I’m looking forward to seeing the kind of character she ends up playing.
