Insomniac Unleashes New Story Trailer For MARVEL'S WOLVERINE
Insomniac Games just gave fans another awesome trailer for Marvel's Wolverine. This is the story trailer that was released during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and it's exactly the kind of intense, character-driven preview that has me even more excited to finally get my hands on the game.
The trailer builds on last week's teaser and offers a much deeper look at Logan's emotional journey, while also teasing some of the dangerous enemies and uneasy alliances waiting for players when the PlayStation 5 exclusive launches this September.
The trailer leans into one of Wolverine's greatest struggles. This version of Logan isn't simply fighting bad guys. He's fighting to hold onto himself.
As Logan reflects on his long life, Liam McIntyre delivers a haunting voiceover that perfectly captures where the character finds himself:
"I've lived long enough. It's all started to blur together. Every fight. Every death. I'm trying to hold on. I can feel it slipping away. Who I am. Who I was. When that's gone, there won't be anything left. Except rage."
It's a fantastic setup for the story Insomniac has been teasing ever since the game was officially revealed. Rather than focusing only on Wolverine's incredible healing factor and savage combat skills, the developers are digging into the emotional scars that come with living for centuries and carrying the weight of countless battles.
The new footage also delivers some exciting glimpses of several major characters. Lady Deathstrike makes her presence known, setting up what looks like one of Logan's toughest fights in the game.
Fans also get another look at Sabretooth, but this time the longtime rival appears to be something far more unexpected. Instead of serving as a straightforward villain, he's presented as a reluctant partner fighting alongside Logan,
There's another interesting piece of the puzzle worth mentioning. The official San Diego Comic-Con prequel Infinity Comic, written by narrative director Walt Williams, hints that Mr. Sinister is actually the mastermind pulling the strings behind everything.
One thing that's becoming increasingly clear is that Insomniac isn't interested in delivering a paint-by-numbers superhero adventure. Every trailer has emphasized Logan's fractured memories, emotional trauma, and the difficult choices he'll have to make along the way.
Pair that with the brutal claw combat and grounded gameplay the studio recently showcased, and this has all the ingredients to become one of PlayStation's most memorable exclusives.
The story trailer does exactly what it needed to do. It gives us plenty of action, throws in a few surprises, teases some major mysteries, and leaves fans wanting to see much more. That's a pretty great place to be just weeks before launch.
Marvel's Wolverine arrives exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 15.
