A few years ago, a 15-year-old Pakistani girl named Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban because she expressed her belief that girls should be able to receive educations. After surviving the attack, she went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize and become an outspoken advocate for female education all over the globe.

Director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) is back with a documentary about this inspiring young woman, and the first trailer has now arrived. He Named Me Malala opens in limited release on October 2nd.
