Netflix has released the first inspiring trailer for its upcoming teen film, All Together Now. From the producers of Love, Simon, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars, All Together Now tells the story of a teen struggling to get by as she and her mother face homelessness, she navigates relationships, and she looks toward a future full of promise.

The music-based film stars Auli’i Cravalho, who lent her voice to Disney princess Moana, Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live), Justina Machado (One Day at a Time), and Carol Burnett (The Carol Burnett Show, Annie), as well as Rhenzy Feliz, Judy Reyes, Taylor Richardson, C.S. Lee, Anthony Jacques Jr., and Gerald Isaac Waters. The movie is directed by Brett Haley (The Hero, Hearts Beat Loud) from a script he co-wrote with Marc Basch and Matthew Quick based on the novel by Quick, which was originally titled Sorta Like a Rock Star.

Here’s the synopsis courtesy of Deadline:

Cravalho plays Amber Appleton, a musically gifted high schooler who remains an optimist even when her personal life is less stable than it appears. She balances her beloved high school drama club helmed by Mr. Franks (Fred Armisen) and her dreams of college with working long hours at a doughnut shop to help support herself and her down-on-her-luck single mom (Justina Machado), and they live in a school bus after mom’s boyfriend kicks them out of his house. Amber also spends time at the local retirement community, giving care and attention to her favorite resident (Carol Burnett).
