Inspiring Trailer for Disney+ Robotics Competition Documentary MORE THAN ROBOTS Directed by Gillian Jacobs

Disney+ has released an inspiring trailer for the documentary feature More Than Robots, which follows teams of teens in a robotics competition. The doc is directed by Community actress Gillian Jacobs in her feature directorial debut.

Here’s the full synopsis:

More Than Robots follows four teams of teenagers from around the world as they prepare for the 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition. Get to know teams from Los Angeles, Mexico City and Chiba, Japan as they work towards the ultimate goal of taking their unique designs all the way to the highly competitive global championships. Although they must overcome challenges along the way, such as having limited resources within their community or putting everything on hold because of the COVID pandemic, the kids persevere and learn that there is a lot more to the competition than just robots.

This looks so dang good! I love documentaries, and it is so amazing what these kids accomplish at these competitions. They are brilliant, and it’s so cool to see their passion and creativity spark as they do this thing that they love. More Than Robots is debuting at the SXSW Film Festival this year, and will premiere on Disney+ on March 18th. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
