Intense First Trailer For Kevin Costner's New Series YELLOWSTONE From The Writer of SICARIO and WIND RIVER
"All men are bad. But some of us try really hard to be good."
Kevin Costner returns to TV in a strong looking new series called Yellowstone. Now, Kevin Costner is great, but the real reason I'm excited about this series is because of the guy who developed it. The show comes from Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, who previously brought us Hell or High Water, Wind River, and Sicario. All of those films were amazing, and this series looks like it's going to be just as good.
The series is set in the violent world of the Duttons family, who are ranchers in Montana. This series will take us to the gritty and hardcore underworld of the American heartland. "The show is set near the titular national park and will focus on the violence needed to maintain the largest contiguous ranch in the United States."
Two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton, the patriarch of the family who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders – land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny — where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.
The series also has a solid supporting cast that includes Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Dave Annable, Danny Huston, Gil Birmingham, Jefferson White, Gretchen Mol, Jill Hennessey, Patrick St. Esprit, Ian Bohen, and Denim Richards.
The series will premiere on the Paramount Network this June. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think!
