Intense New Trailer for ANDOR Season 2 - "Welcome to the Rebellion"
Disney has released an intense new trailer for Lucasilm’s Star Wars series Andor Season 2, and it welcomes us to the rebellion and teases the construction of the Death Star and the sacrifices that will be made to stop the Empire.
This Star Wars series chronicles the events leading up to the events of Rogue One, and the first season of the series is top notch Star Wars storytelling. I’m so excited for this final season of the series!
The project was created and executive produced by Rogue One co-writer Tony Gilroy and Season 1 takes place over the course of roughly a year in the life of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), and his journey takes him from a small-time criminal to a man prepared to join the fight against the Galactic Empire.
The twelve episodes of second season will carry the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance over the climactic four years that lead to the discovery of The Death Star and the events of Rogue One.
“Season One followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer. Andor Season Two will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the way to his epic destiny. From the very first scene, Cassian’s story has activated an ever-widening ensemble of allies and enemies.
“Season Two will see these relationships intensify as the horizon of galactic war draws near. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicting agendas will become profound. Who will live to see their dream realized? Who will realize what the dream cost?”
Along with Luna, the returning cast includes Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu and Forest Whitaker. Ben Mendelsohn is also back as Imperial officer Orson Krennic and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO.
Andor Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on April 22, 2025. We’re almost there!
