Intense New Trailer for HBO Max's True Crime Thriller THE STAIRCASE
We’ve got a new trailer for you to watch for HBO Max’s upcoming limited series The Staircase, which explores the true crime story of the death of and the main suspect of her murder, Michael Peterson, her husband.
This is a crazy true story that was previously covered in the Netflix documentary, which is also titled The Staircase. This new series definitely looks like an incredibly intense dramatization of these events and the craziness that the family had to go through.
In the story, Kathleen Peterson was found at the bottom of the staircase in her home in a pool of blood. Her husband found her and called 911, and he was accused of her murder. There have been a lot of theories regarding Kathleen’s death and what really happened, but there’s still no clear picture of what actually happened.
The series has an impressive cast that includes Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, Juliette Binoche, Dane DeHaan, Olivia DeJonge, Rosemarie DeWitt, Tim Guinee, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sophie Turner, Vincent Vermignon, Odessa Young, and Parker Posey.
The Staircase was created by Antonio Campos (The Devil All the Time), and written and executive produced by Campos and Maggie Cohn (American Crime Story), who both serve as showrunners. Campos also directed six episodes of the series, with Leigh Janiak (Fear Street) directing the remaining two. The first three episodes of The Staircase will debut on HBO and HBO Max on May 5, 2022, and the remaining five will debut each week through June 9, 2022.
