Intense Trailer and Poster for Heartbreaking Coming of Age Drama MANIFEST WEST
An intense new trailer and poster have been released for a heartbreaking-looking coming of age drama titled Manifest West, in which a family decides to move off the grid in search of a simpler life. But it looks like they’re running from something that may prove difficult to outrun. The film premiered earlier this year at Mammoth Film Festival, where it won Best Genre Film. It is co-written and co-directed by Joe Dietsch and Louie Gibson, who previously made the film Happy Hunting.
Manifest West stars Annet Mahendru (The Americans, The Walking Dead: World Beyond), Milo Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge, Under the Stadium Lights) Lexy Kolker (Shooter), Michael Cudlitz (Southland, The Walking Dead), and comedian Tim Heidecker.
Here’s the full synopsis:
Manifest West is a coming-of-age story, told through the eyes of a ten-year old girl whose family moves off the grid into untamed North American Wilderness. It’s their attempt to establish normalcy, to thrive off the land, and escape the pressures of modern society. But the family also has its own internal pressures building, and you can’t escape what’s going on in your own household, no matter how far you move up a mountain.
This looks really intense, and like such a sad story. The cast is great, and the film looks really well done. I look forward to watching it. Check out the trailer and poster for the movie below, and watch Manifest West in select US theaters and on VOD on November 11th.
