Intense Trailer for Netflix's Great-Looking Film THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME with Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson

Netflix has released the first trailer for The Devil All The Time. The film is a drama thriller that is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel, the story of which takes place between World War II and the Vietnam War and follows the stories of several different dark and bizarre characters who have been damaged by the effects of war.

This looks like a great movie that tells an incredibly intense and dark story. You’ll definitely get a sense of that intensity in this first trailer. The movie is also packed with an impressive cast and judging from what I’ve seen in this trailer, they all give incredible performances. The cast of the film includes Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Harry Melling, Mia Wasikowska, and Eliza Scanlen.

This is the synopsis:

In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war.

The film was directed by Antonio Campos (Simon Killer, 2016's Christine), and it’s explained that the film “renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted.” When previously talking about the film, Campos said, "It’s a multi-strand narrative set between the end of World War II and the beginning of America’s involvement in Vietnam in which a motley group of characters’ lives all intersect.”

The Devil All the Time premieres September 16th on Netflix.
