Intense Trailer for the True Story War Thriller THE AMBUSH
Saban Films has released the trailer for a "high-octane foreign action film" titled The Ambush, which was directed by Pierre Morel (District B13, Taken, From Paris with Love, The Gunman, and Peppermint). I like most of the films that Morel has made, and this looks like it’s going to be an intense thrill ride.
The movie is based on the true story of a team of soldiers from the UAE during the Yemen War in 2018. They end up being ambushed in a valley by rebel soldiers during a routine patrol and their commander leads a dangerous mission to rescue them.
This looks like a solid film that tells a crazy war story! What a wild and scary situation that must’ve been. The synopsis reads:
The Ambush is an unrelentingly intense action film based on a true story from the director of Taken. When their armored vehicle is attacked by heavy enemy gunfire and becomes trapped in a remote canyon, three UAE soldiers desperately await salvation. As troops arrive to offer aid, they too, are ambushed. Their final hope is a daring rescue mission plotted by their courageous commander.
The action film stars Marwan Abdulla Saleh, Khalifa Al Jassem, Mohammed Ahmed, Mansoor Alfeeli, Khalifa Albahri, and Ibrahim Almusharaakh.
Saban Films will debut Morel's The Ambush in select US theaters on October 28th, 2022, then on VOD starting November 1st.
