Interesting Trailer for the Russian Multi-Dimensional Techno-Thriller A ROUGH DRAFT
I’ve got an interesting trailer here for you to watch today for a Russian sci-fi film titled A Rough Draft. This is definitely a weird-looking movie, which is a techno-thriller that centers on a video game designer who is stripped of his identity and then recruited by a mysterious team to serve as the gatekeeper of a multi-dimensional portal.
The character learns to open up portals to several alternative dimensions that are different versions of Moscow. It turns out that this Earth is a rough draft where social experiments are secretly staged by the government of a utopian world in order to avoid making mistakes.
The trailer is laughably dubbed, but the concept of the story is what really grabbed me. It’s pretty ambitious, and I don’t think this movie is going to properly pull it off, but I’d still watch it. Here’s the synopsis:
A young resident of Moscow, Kirill (Nikita Volkov) is a talented designer of computer games. One day, he is completely erased from the memory of everyone he knew and loved. Kirill learns that he is chosen for an important and mysterious mission. His purpose is to become a customs officer between parallel worlds, of which there are dozens in the universe.
The movie was directed by Sergey Mokritski, and it will be released in early 2020.
