Intriguing New Trailer For THE ROMANOFFS an Amazon Series From The Creator of MAD MEN

Amazon Studios has released a new trailer for their intriguing new series The Romanoffs, which comes from Matthew Weiner, the creator of the hit AMC drama Mad Men. After a series like that, you’d expect something great, and it looks like that’s what he is going to deliver.

The Romanoffs is a contemporary anthology series set around the globe and it tells eight separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family.

The concept of the series spawns from the Ramanoffs, or Romanov family who were the second dynasty to rule Russia. The family came to an end when Nicholas II and his family were executed during the Russian Civil War. After they were executed, a lot of imposters came forward claiming to be descendants or survivors of the execution.

It sounds like a strange but interesting premise and it comes with an awesome cast of actors that includes Aaron Eckhart, Diane Lane, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, Kathryn Hahn, Noah Wyle, Ron Livingston, Paul Reiser, Andrew Rannells and more.

I'm definitely looking forward to checking this series out! The Romanoffs will premiere on Amazon Prime Video Friday, October 12th. Does this look like a series you might enjoy?
