Intriguing Trailer for the Apple TV+ Sci-Fi Drama SWAN SONG with Mahershala Ali
Apple TV+ has released a trailer for an intriguing looking sci-fi drama titled Swan Song. The story is set in the near future and Mahershala Ali plays a character named Cameron Turner, who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. In this state, he is offered a unique opportunity with an experimental solution to help his family carry on with a clone that has all of his memories.
The movie was written and directed by Benjamin Cleary, who is making his directorial debut, and the film also stars Naomie Harris as Cameron’s wife Poppy, along with Glenn Close, Awkwafina, Adam Beach, Lee Shorten, Dax Rey, Nyasha Hatendi, and JayR Tinaco. Here’s the synopsis:
Set in the near future, Swan Song is a powerful, emotional journey told through the eyes of Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief. As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined. Swan Song explores how far we will go, and how much we’re willing to sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people we love.
This looks like a great film that tells fascinating and thought-provoking sci-fi story. Swan Song will be released in select US theaters and streaming on Apple TV+ starting December 17th, 2021.
