Marvel Announces MARVEL RISING: SECRET WARRIORS Animated Film with Poster and Promo
Marvel has never been so popular. With the MCU being so big that it will take a miracle for DC to even be comparable on a regular basis. Marvel also has their animated series Avengers: Secret Wars and many other shows to get kids invested as young as possible. Now they are bringing more characters in the spotlight, and these are not all played by a Chris.
Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors is a feature film that will be released in 2018 following a series of six 4-minute digital shorts. These shorts will focus on Spider-Gwen (Ghost Spider in the series) while Secret Warriors will bring in a much larger and diverse cast.

If you watch Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. you may recognize a couple of those names. Bennet and Wen are no strangers to the Marvel Universe and I’m sure they’ll do a great job in these roles. I think the coolest thing for me is that the characters seem to share some likeness with the actors portraying them. While Secret Warriors is set to release in 2018 as a feature film, it appears Marvel will make it a multi-platform animated franchise. I imagine after the film we’ll see a lot more digital content for this group of heroes similar to the initial shorts Ghost Spider will have leading up to the film.
