INVINCIBLE Season 4 Clip Reveals First Look at Major Villain Dinosaurus
Prime Video is about to unleash the next chapter of Invincible, and a newly released sneak peek is giving fans their first real look at one of Season 4’s biggest threats.
The animated superhero series returns in just a couple of days, and the clip teases the arrival of a villain who may look strange at first glance but is about to become a very serious problem for Mark Grayson.
Season 4 picks up after the chaos left behind at the end of Season 3. Following Conquest’s defeat and the devastating Multiverse War, Mark is trying to focus on rebuilding and helping Earth recover from the damage.
Of course, the universe rarely gives him a break. New enemies are already lining up, and the upcoming season pushes Mark into even tougher territory.
One of those incoming threats is Dinosaurus, voiced by Matthew Rhys, and the character is about to make a huge impression on the series.
At first, Dinosaurus might come across like one of the more bizarre villains fans have seen before. Invincible has always had a wild rogues’ gallery, including characters inspired by animals and other offbeat concepts, so a dinosaur-themed villain doesn’t immediately scream “major threat.”
That perception changes quickly. Dinosaurus isn’t just another oddball villain of the week. He’s incredibly dangerous, powerful enough to rival Mark’s strength, and he’s far more intelligent than the young hero.
What initially looks like a ridiculous enemy ends up becoming something far more complicated and dangerous as the story unfolds.
The character also isn’t a one-episode appearance. Dinosaurus becomes a key figure moving forward and will play an important role in the larger narrative as the show heads deeper into its next major phase.
Season 4 itself marks a major turning point for the series. As Robert Kirkman continues adapting the original comic run for television, several huge storylines are starting to come into play.
Fans of the comics know that massive arcs are on the horizon, including the Viltrumite War. That storyline eventually brings Mark and his father Nolan together to face an incredibly powerful villain named Thragg.
The introduction of Dinosaurus is another sign that the show is gearing up for those bigger conflicts. At the same time, the animated series is also carving out some new territory.
The upcoming season has teased a brand new arc created specifically for the show, something that wasn’t explored in the original comics. Details are still being kept under wraps, but it reportedly involves Hell and ties into a storyline that was originally dropped from the comic run.
So even longtime fans who know the source material should expect a few surprises.
Invincible Season 4 premieres on Prime Video on March 18 with its first three episodes. After that, new episodes will release weekly, leading up to the finale on April 22.
