INVINCIBLE Season 4 Trailer Reveals Grand Regent Thragg and the Start of an All-Out War
Prime Video just dropped the first trailer and poster for Invincible Season 4, and it lets fans know things are going to get messy in a big way. Along with confirming a March 18 return date, the preview introduces some major heavy hitters from the comics, led by the long-awaited arrival of Grand Regent Thragg.
This first look is packed with teases, but the biggest headline is Thragg making his animated debut. The ruthless Viltrumite leader is voiced by Lee Pace, and he’s clearly being positioned as the central threat of the season.
Fans of the original comics by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley know just how devastating his presence is, and the trailer leans into that energy hard.
Thragg isn’t the only new problem on the board. The footage also introduces Universa and Dinosaurus, marking the animated debuts of three major villains who play huge roles in the source material.
On the hero side, familiar allies like Tech Jacket and Space Racer show up as well, hinting at the scale of the conflict that’s coming.
Mark Grayson is in a rough place when Season 4 kicks off. He’s questioning whether he even wants to keep being a hero, while Atom Eve is dealing with her own struggle as she tries to regain access to her powers.
"While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves," reads the brief synopsis, "setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever."
The voice cast remains one of the show’s strongest assets. Invincible stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J.K. Simmons, with a massive supporting lineup that includes Gillian Jacobs, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, Matthew Rhys, Danai Gurira, and Melise.
Produced by Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, the series streams exclusively on Prime Video. Season 3 became the most-watched animation season ever on Prime Video and marked the biggest returning season across all adult animation originals on the platform.
It also landed a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Animated Series in 2025, along with consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2024 and 2025. The first two seasons earned Certified Fresh rankings on Rotten Tomatoes, took home the Golden Tomato Award for Best Animated Series in 2023, and Season 3 followed that up with a perfect 100% score.
Between the introduction of Thragg, the growing internal conflict for Mark, and the promise of an all-out war, Season 4 looks ready to raise the bar yet again. You can check out the first trailer and poster for Invincible Season 4 below.
