IRON FIST Season 2 Dropped a FANTASTIC FOUR Easter Egg

Iron Fist Season 2 actually wasn’t that bad! I liked it lot more than the first season and it’s the best portrayal of the character that we’ve seen yet. The character still isn’t as awesome as he could be, but it was certainly a step in the right direction. My favorite part of the series was Alice Eve in the role of Typhoid Mary, though. She was awesome.

Regardless of how you felt about the series, there was actually a pretty cool little Fantastic Four Easter egg that was spotted by fans.

The Easter egg was pointed out was in episode 6, which is titled “The Dragon Dies at Dawn”. There’s a sequence in the series that is set in a vacant building that is under construction. This is where Danny Rand gets his ass handed to him by Davos. That doesn’t matter, though.

It’s the address of the building that is interesting. The address mentioned in the episode is “42 Baxter”, which is in reference to the same Baxter Building in Marvel Comics. This is where Fantastic Four’s base of operations is located. The address of the building in the comics is 42nd and Madison, but by adding the name “Baxter” in there, they make it very clear that they are referencing the building from Fantastic Four. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence.

The question is… why? I’d like to think that they are starting to plant the seeds for a future Fantastic Four movie or TV series. We know that one day we’ll see the Fantastic Four return thanks to the Disney and Fox merger, and the fact that the building is under construction is a great and fun way to plant that first seed for what is to come.

Did you happen to catch that Easter Egg? What are your thoughts on it?
