Iron Man got a new armor design in Marvel Comics’ upcoming new comic Darkhold Alpha. It’s called the “Defiled” armor and it has a fleshy grossness to it.

Darkhold Alpha #1 comes from writer Steve Orlando and artist Cian Tormey. Darkhold is sometimes referred to as the Book of the Damned and it contains evil magical spells. The book has appeared in Marvel TV projects such as Agents of SHIELD, Runaways, and most recently it appeared in WandaVision.

The comic is said to delight and terrify readers! The description reads, “For hundreds of years, scholars and heroes alike have searched for the complete text of the Darkhold - a.k.a. the Book of the Damned, written by the elder god Chthon. Now one of the greatest sorcerers in the Multiverse has found it - and Chthon has found him. To save them all, the Scarlet Witch must gather the world's greatest heroes...and unleash their inner darkness. Witness the Marvel Universe's descent into chaos!”

Scarlet Witch summons Iron Man, Wasp, Spider-Man, Black Bolt, and Blade. While preparing to deal with Chthon, the team ends up going too deep into the book and it corrupts them. So, Iron Man emerges with this "defiled" armor.

The armor also appears on the cover of Darkhold: Iron Man #1, coming in December. Marvel previously released Tormey's design for the armor. You can see all of the art below.
